Arne Van Damme - Intuo

The best employers attract top talent because of the career perspective they give. It becomes increasingly hard though for employers to promise exactly what career steps a new hire will be able to take in their company. A new career paradigm emerges.

Ideas and Improvements for a Positive Corporate Culture

A, Who Cares Wins: A Culture of Wellbeing
Hero founder and CEO Joe Gaunt will be delivering this insightful session on how companies can improve the health, wellbeing and happiness of their employees. Providing real insight and analysis from the wellbeing discovery surveys which have been completed by all attending delegates' companies, Joe will give practical examples and recommendations on how companies can help support their employees. He will also explore the role of wellbeing companies in supporting employees to measure and achieve their wellbeing goals, with how innovative wellbeing technology can deliver true ROI and VOI for companies in today's world. (Hero)

B, How does Private Health Insurance remain relevant in the 21st Century
The role of healthcare providers is changing. What people expect their health insurer to cover and do is very different to how it was ten years ago. Health insurance is no longer considered a commodity product. To meet changing customer needs, insurers must now consider the whole customer journey and where they can add value at each stage of this journey. Dr Peter Mills will explore this evolution and look at three areas where Cigna has taken a pioneering approach to supporting the customer journey: Gender Dysphoria, Mental Health and early detection and pathways for cancer. (Cigna)

C, SelfLeaders – Imagine a world where everyone is a leader
SelfLeaders is a cutting-edge culture agency in Scandinavia with global clients such as Spotify and PwC. They have one foot in business strategy and another in motivational psychology, domains which SelfLeaders combine into interdisciplinary tools for powerful culture transformations. SelfLeaders’ vision is a world where every human is equipped to lead themselves and act in alignment to their personal values. SelfLeaders co-founder and house philosopher Jan Artem Henriksson with team will co-lead an interactive workshop where the audience will get a chance to articulate and express their personal values and get an emotional taste for what it’s like to lead from personal values towards a shared purpose. WORKSHOPS SESSIONS 2

Ideas and Improvements for a Positive Corporate Culture

A, FUTURE PROOF YOUR WORKFORCE: Why Flexible working is a crucial element of employee wellbeing and how to adapt successfully
Deborah O’Sullivan, Ten2Two co-founder and MD, has been part of the changing landscape of the workplace over the last decade and has first-hand experience of candidates and companies’ views on flexible working.

Up to 80% of candidates and employees say they want flexible working with many agreeing they would sacrifice salary for it. Yet, businesses attitudes and actions are still lagging behind employee desires and the uptake of flexible working has stalled for nearly a decade.

How can you future proof your workforce?

This interactive session will explore the most recent research around flexible working, clarify the benefits it can offer to businesses and discuss the huge, positive impact it can have on employee well-being now and into the future. The session will go on to discuss the barriers to adoption of flexible working and explore practical strategies on how to implement and manage an agile workforce. (Ten2two)

B, Stress and wellbeing: Parents and carers in the workplace
The business case for reducing stress and improving the wellbeing of employees is irrefutable. It’s been an HR headline for the past year and for many employers it’s a priority topic in 2019.

One of the biggest causes of workplace stress is inevitably the work and family juggle for parents and carers.

Three-quarters (75%) of working parents suffer stress and anxiety as a result of their work-life balance management, according to a recent study.

In this lively, interactive discussion, Jennifer Liston-Smith, Director, Head of Coaching & Consultancy at My Family Care discusses the challenges and the journey to find solutions for addressing stress factors for working parents and carers with Sally Evans, UK Wellbeing lead, PwC.

They’ll explore the factors that impact parents and carers and share insights into the programmes that PwC have put in place and how these have evolved to support Work+Family. (MFC)

WORKSHOPS SESSIONS 3

Ideas and Improvements for a Positive Corporate Culture

A, Re-organising HR for the future
Let's try to think about the HR Department of 2040. Not in terms of the technology they use, but mostly in terms of how they are structured and what they do all day. Together we'll try to answer these questions: How will an HR Department be organised? How will they support continuous learning & change? What organisational models will prevail? How will they support teamwork even though an increasingly small group of people delivers most of the value? How will we deliver the ultimate competitive edge: culture? How will all this be supported by technology? (Intuo)

B, Myths About Employee Productivity (Location: Aldgate/Bishopsgate)
The aim of this workshop is to discuss the key myths about employee productivity and the UK productivity issues. Including the cost of absenteeism & presenteeism. The importance of how employees are distracted from work tasks, different forms of distraction. Importance of collaboration and concentration and 5 actions to boost productivity. Modest gains in staff wellbeing & productivity can deliver significant financial savings. (Fellowes)

WORKSHOPS SESSIONS 4

Ideas and Improvements for a Positive Corporate Culture

A, Addiction – The Process to Recovery
The dangers of addiction in the workplace have been highlighted during the plenary session this morning. This workshop will demonstrate how you can support the employee through an intense 28 day recovery programme, aftercare and mutual help groups and finally a successful return to the workplace as a productive, engaged and happier employee. (Abbeycare)

B, Improving Employee Financial Wellbeing
Only 26% of businesses in the UK have wellbeing programmes in place, which drops to 16% when talking about financial wellbeing. Although this is an improvement from previous years we are still behind the rest of the world when it comes to getting to grips with the importance of finance related mental health in the workplace. During this session we will look at the state of financial wellbeing in the UK workplace and what businesses can, and should, be doing to help out their staff. This needn’t be scary or expensive, there are solutions out there that can help staff and businesses alike, whilst having no cost or cashflow impact on the business. A win win, right? (Hastee Pay)

C, Improve YOUR workplace experience: Data driven insights from the office environment to improve employee wellbeing and performance
We spend up to 90% of our lives in the workplace and as such our working environment is intrinsically linked to employee health & wellbeing. Despite this notion, many programs fail to integrate office design & environment into their Health & Wellbeing strategy, in the process missing an enormous opportunity to positively impact employee health and improve business performance. In this workshop we discuss and demonstrate how evaluating your working environment using robust digital tools and gaining data driven insights, enables the development of effective and sustainable Health & Wellbeing strategy.
